Vision:
NancyHicksLive exists to communicate the love of God through Christ with passion and excellence to all people. This will happen through three primary channels:
- Speaking and teaching within the Church across western culture
- Communicating the love of Christ beyond the Church walls to marginalized people and non-Christians
- Serving the Majority World Church (anything outside the west), through speaking, teaching and raising up leaders
Mission:
My mission statement is this: To express and ignite a life of passion for Christ. Let me unpack that for you.
Express
I am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a Christian. Through Christ, I live to know (understand and experience) God – the Father, Son: Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. By the power of the Spirit I yearn to – and to a large extent do – love God with all of my heart, mind, soul and strength. (Deut. 6:5).
I believe that God is the Creator and sustainer of Heaven and earth. (Gen. 1:1). I believe He created all people to be in relationship with Himself and that all people bear His glorious image. (Gen. 1:26).
I believe that through sin (things done and left undone, thoughts, attitudes and autonomy), death entered the world separating humanity and all creation from God who is Life. (Gen. 3).
I believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only answer to this separation. Through Christ, God calls all people and creation back into relationship with Himself and each other. (Col. 1:13, 14; Acts 3:19; John 3:16; John 1:4)
I look to Jesus as the only means of salvation (brought back into a right relationship with God) from my sin (past, present and future) and as leader of my life. By the power of the Holy Spirit in me I submit to Jesus Christ’s authority in my life and the Nancy Hicks Live ministry.
Ignite
Through this relationship, the people of God are equipped by the Holy Spirit, with gifts which are for the Church to call all people into an ongoing realization of God and His transforming work. (1 Cor. 12). This realization leads to worship! I believe that the Spirit of “Christ in me/us” (Col. 1:27) leads others to worship, enjoy relationship, and further reveal God’s glory. I believe that we are to use these gifts to glorify God among His people – the Church – and to move out with the mission of God to reach those who do not yet know of Christ’s indescribable gift! It is through this vibrant, loving relationship with God that I long to make Him known by loving all people, regardless of belief and life situation.
I believe that our mission– to know God and make Him known – happens by loving all people in word and deed and pointing them to Him, until and throughout the restoration of God’s kingdom.
A word about the Word (of God)
I believe that all Scripture is God breathed. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21). As such, God, who is perfect and holy, breathed out God’s perfect and holy written word. Directed and inspired by the Holy Spirit, I believe that Scripture is a holy compilation of varying authors, languages, geographies and genres, spanning thousands of years and yet has a common theme: God’s love of, and pursuit of right relationship with humanity and all creation through Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:27). I believe that by the power of the Spirit and the sovereignty of God, the written word is infallible and has full authority to instruct, direct, encourage, teach, and illuminate Jesus, who is the living Word. (John 1:1; John 1:14; John 5:39).
Stewardship (Handling Money):
All money paid to NancyHicksLive goes back into the ministry. The money:
- extends the gospel among marginalized people (for example, the poor)
- serves the Majority World Church*
- supports the ongoing cost of running the ministry
*Did you know? The gospel is burgeoning across the globe (everywhere but the west) like never before in history? Pastors and leaders in these areas need Bible teachers, leaders and speakers/preachers to equip the Church. NancyHicksLive is committed to supporting the global Church.
