Nancy is an energetic and interactive Bible teacher. She regularly leads Bible classes and conferences to better equip the church, and welcome in those who do not yet know of Christ’s love for them. She heads up “FREE FRIDAYS: Free to be Real, Free to be You” – a weekly Bible class which engages women at any stage of their journey to and with Jesus Christ.

Nancy is former head of Outreach for Church of the Saviour’s Women’s Ministry in Wayne, PA equipping and inspiring followers of Christ to adore Him, and express it, in large measure by loving others in word and action.

Examples of Teaching Topics

            CALLING

  • Meant to Live – Understanding your calling, your purpose and mission to be all that God has created you to be is a central theme for Nancy. Whether in the bushes of Bunia or the streets of New York, she calls all people to rise up and reflect a glorious God.
  • You Were Created to Be Lovely, Be Lovely – A call to women to be who they really are: a glorious workmanship created to reflect a far greater beauty. What holds me back? How do I, a godly woman, embrace my beauty without becoming fixed on it?

           OUTREACH AND EVANGELISM

  • Marketplace – Our culture is increasingly hostile to the gospel. How do we love people in a relevant way (word and deed) and point them to Christ?
  • Evangelism Unplugged – the nuts and bolts of loving – not manipulating, avoiding or despising – non Christians.
  • A Cup of Java – The coffee cup as a modern symbol of connection. Training for Invitational Coffees used for reaching out.
  • Presenting: The Gospel – “How Beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15 – an emphasis on practicing a simple, transferable presentation that works for you to share with others.

           INTIMACY WITH GOD

  • Every Season  – We’re always in a season of our lives: The change of autumn; the newness of springtime; the darkness of winter or the abundance of summer. Which are you in right now? (Inspired by Nicole Nordeman’s song “Every Season”)
  • Prayer – The prayer-filled life – there is a whole way to live that changes the way you see everything. And it’s all about practicing the Presence of God. Do you believe He is always at work? Do you enjoy an on-going conversation with Him? The dance and the issues surrounding prayer.
  • Worship – Oh, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing! – Based on three Psalms we’ll explore the longing for worship. We’ll analyze our average Sunday morning interior/exterior worship experience. Working through the struggles of corporate worship.
  • Forgiveness – Always a topic in need of discussion. Misunderstood and often overlooked. We’ll discuss four intermingled phases in moving towards true forgiveness and healing in Christ.
  • Spiritual Disciplines – A Life Set Apart/A Life of Awareness – God is near. God is speaking. We struggle to see and hear Him in our noisy, distracted, microwave society. Fasting, silence, and solitude will be considered as we incorporate a simpler way of life.

          WOMEN

  •  I Love you, You’re Perfect; Now Change. – Married Life. When the odds are against you, but God’s hand is on you. Marriage is the one relationship on earth that can transform and heal you like no other. But it’s not for the faint of heart!
  • Wonder Woman – It’s been said that one generation was marked as the generation of the “deadbeat dad.” Psychologists have said, “Woe to the generation of the motherless.” That time seems to be approaching. Based on Isaiah 49:15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast?…Though she may forget…” How can women embrace and not resent their full lives.
  • Intimacy/Sex – Sometimes the Bible Makes Me Blush! (Based on Song of Songs) -our God created sex and intimacy and gave it to us as an extravagant gift. The world has grossly distorted and marred it, and then thrusts it on us at every turn. This is a call to take back what is freely ours in Christ.
  • Cultivating Contentment – (When Life’s Not a Bed of Roses.) – based on Ecclesiastes 1:1-3 “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless!” Is contentment settling for less? Is it being numb or avoidant to the unpredictability of life?
